Bea Scaccia

Born Veroli, Italy

Bea Scaccia’s work, articulated in drawing, painting, and stop-motion animation, investigates the absurdity of the human condition while performing the act of existing.

Bea Scaccia, Black as a raven's wing, 2023, Acrylic and airbrush on canvas, 24 x 24 in

Exploring themes like the artifice of the ornamentation, labor of beauty, and vanity, Scaccia develops an enduringly ironic universe where any concept of identity waves.

Her language traverses the random and repetitive gestures of existential manifestations.

Characters of past works, suspended in states of indecision, between mutual interaction or resistance, are frozen in the incompleteness of their actions.
